Six Ways To Wear SS18's Hair Accessories for the coming 2019

Do a Dolce

Every queen needs a crown and Dolce & Gabbana have long been flying the Fashion Week flag for covetable hair accessories in the form of regal crown jewels. If a crown if a bit too much (ok, admittedly it might be a little bit OTT for

some), then a bejewelled headband or necklace placed atop of the head (as also seen on their SS19 catwalk) is the next best thing.

 

Take a bow

If you feel like something a bit more low-key, try a beautifully knotted bow as seen on the models at Erdem’s Victoriana-meets-speakeasy show. There’s something decidedly powerful about the simplicity of a black ribboned bow tied around the base of a neatly-curled ponytail.

Be a pearly queen

The pearl hair clips that were seen at Simone Rocha in London were just perfection. Take note: the key here is to load them up (just one doesn’t cut it) and use them to embellish a deep side parting.

Find your crowning glory

Another show, another set of crowns, but at Moschino, Jeremy Scott’s offering was a bit tougher - leather and gold-studded, in fact. Work yours like one of his rock chicks, or opt for a leather-studded hair slide in a nod to the trend.

Get with the band

Headbands are a thing, especially when Gucci says so. This season, black velvet Alice bands were taken to the next level thanks to some embellishment from giant diamante bows. Also seen were fabric-plaited headbands worn low on the forehead, Jane-Fonda-workout-style. Both cute when worn with hair loose and tucked into a shirt collar. Geek chic.
